NEET UG 2026 EXAM DATE, SYLLABUS, ELIGIBILITY & PYQ's:  

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET (UG), is an all-India pre-medical entrance exam for undergraduate medical and dental courses in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is a mandatory exam for admission to MBBS and other medical courses in India and abroad.

Exam Medium:  13 languages, including Hindi, English, Punjabi, Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Urdu.

​Eligibility Criteria:

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2026 is likely to align with the established norms from previous years. Here’s a brief overview of the common eligibility standards for undergraduate (UG) program:

Age Limit Minimum: 17 Years Age
Maximum: There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for UG Programme.
Educational Qualification

10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Number of attempts No restrictions on the number of attempts.
Submission of Result The result of the qualifying exam (10+2) must be submitted at the time of admission. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility for admission.
Tie-Breaking Criteria (if 2 or more candidates score equal marks)

If two or more candidates obtain the same marks/percentile scores in NEET UG 2025, the tie-breaking method will be applied as follows:

  • Higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) will be given preference.
  • If the tie persists, the candidate with higher marks in Chemistry will be ranked higher.
  • If still unresolved, the candidate with higher marks in Physics will be preferred.
  • If the tie continues, the candidate with a lower proportion of incorrect answers compared to correct answers in all subjects will be given a better rank.
